We are fast approaching the end of year and that means it’s time to start thinking about year end and festive season entertaining. To make sure your event
is unforgettable, the forum| private label have listed their top entertaining tips:

Plan ahead

Plan your guest list and send out your invites well in advance to make sure your event is well attended. Decide on a menu and your décor theme weeksbefore the event so that you are well prepared and not flustered once the day arrives.

Set the mood

Mood lighting and background music are the best ways to create a celebratory atmosphere. Remember, the music should be loud enough to hear, but not so loud that guests become distracted.

Less is more

When it comes to décor, keep it simple, stylish and sophisticated. Wow your guests with stunning food, perfectly presented, using the freshest, quality ingredients you can find. You will be sure to have a recipe for success.

Choose canapés for impact

Vary your canapé offering by choosing different recipes each with a unique design. Choose three intricate recipes that are eye-catching and slightly more difficult to make for that wow factor. Then choose three simple, stylish and flavourful ones. Craftily presented, these will have just as much impact.

One of our delicious canapés at WAM was the charcuterie tray. You can easily recreate this dish by covering a wooden board with clear cellophane, arranging your shaved meats, a bowl of marinated olives and sliced parmegano with aged balsamic vinegar.

Dessert, everybody loves it

Try your hand at a dessert table. You can create 3 or 4 desserts and display them in quirky ways to create that moment of magic for your guests.

The forum recently won the International Catersource, achievement in catering excellence award for our artistic take on flying desserts! Again vary heights and interest using different bowls and platters.
