Wedding favours don’t need to be elaborate or expensive. A small (useful) something and a personalised note or phrase is all you need.
This is a lovely option for guests as they can place it somewhere they love and think of you every time they look at it – be it on a desk at home or a sunny windowsill.
Food favours always go down a treat and everyone loves honey; plus the jar is a useful size for guests to use afterwards.
Scarf or blanket
A practical option for Spring and outdoor weddings, when it is cooler in the evenings, as people can use it on your big day, then take it home and add it to their collection.
This is another option that will be useful both at the wedding and afterwards, plus – as the ladies can pop it in their bag and the guys in their jacket pockets – they won’t forget about it at the end of the night.
Hot drink mix
A must for weddings held during Spring and the cooler seasons. Guests can make it when they get home just before they head off to bed to toast your big day.
This is a lovely choice for a garden wedding or a big day in the country. As it grows, guests will forever have special memories of the wonderful time they had at your wedding.
Edible gifts can also double up as dessert. You could tie this in with your theme colours or have pink for the ladies and green for the guys. The jar could then be used for odds and sods on an office desk.
There are those who bond over coffee and those who bond over tea; a lovely choice for the couple who bonded over the latter. You could opt for different flavours or simply choose your favourite.
This is one of those wedding favours that you know your guests will actually use, plus by infusing it with herbs, guests can add it to their cooking staples going forward for flavourful and memory-filled meals.
Trail mix snack
This is a must if your wedding venue is a bit off-the-beaten track… especially if there are activities such as hiking and cycling that guests might do the next day. It also makes great padkos for the drive home.
If you already have something in mind for your wedding favours, then a small favour bag with some kind of ‘thank you’ note is all you need. Good luck!
