Garden Day at the forum l'antico giardino

Most of the year we plant, water, weed and mulch – work, in other words. Garden Day is a time to toss down that spade, invite family and friends around, kick back and celebrate our beautiful gardens.

The foundation to a flourishing garden is of course the compost we use. Compost is decomposed organic material, such as leaves, grass clippings, and kitchen waste. It provides many essential nutrients for plant growth and therefore is often used as fertilizer. Compost also improves soil structure so that soil can easily hold the correct amount of moisture, nutrients and air. It improves the texture of both clay soils and sandy soils, making either type rich, moisture retentive, and loamy. Compost is one of nature’s best mulches and soil amendments. Most gardeners know the value of this rich, dark, earthy material in improving the soil and creating a healthful environment for plants. Understanding how to make and use compost is in the public interest, as the problem of waste disposal continues to grow. Braam, the Maintenance Manager for the forum company keeps our gardens blooming at the forum white light  by producing our own compost.

In addition to keeping our gardens beautiful the maintenance of our flourishing vegetable garden plays a key part in using our own produce for meals prepared and served at the kitchen l'antico giardino

Start the morning with the popular L’antico farm style breakfast or feast on our artisanal flatbread selection. Lastly dig into our mouth-watering dessert offering, to only name a few. All the while sitting under the trees and admiring our beautiful gardens our team has worked so hard to maintain.
